The Communication Hub is Bites' built-in distribution engine. It lets you send Bites, Playlists, and Quizzes directly to employees through their preferred communication channel, with no login required on their end.
What It Does
Instead of sharing links manually and hoping employees open them, the Communication Hub delivers content straight to the apps your employees already use every day. Each employee receives a personalized message with an authentication link that automatically logs them in.
Available channels include WhatsApp, SMS, Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Beekeeper, and WorkJam. Your organization's account manager can configure which channels are available, add new ones, and specify the order in which they appear.
Key Features
Targeted distribution: Select recipients by organizational attributes (location, department, role) or by individual people. You can combine both methods for precise targeting.
Scheduling: Send content immediately or schedule it for a specific date and time.
Message templates: Choose from pre-built templates or customize the message. Placeholders (Full Name, Organization Name, Bite Name) are supported.
Reminders: Automatically remind employees who haven't watched the content. Set a first reminder and optionally a recurring schedule.
Due dates: Set a deadline for when employees should complete the content. Defaults to 7 days after distribution.
Engagement tracking: Content distributed through the Communication Hub is tracked in your Stats with precise audience data. You can filter stats to see only Communication Hub recipients, only organic viewers, or both. See Stats Filters & Views for details.
How to Access
Tap the Share button on any Bite, Playlist, or Quiz, then select Share with Bites. This opens the Communication Hub, where you can configure your distribution.
Communication Hub vs. Manual Share
When you tap Share, you'll see two options: Share with Bites (Communication Hub) and Manual Share (copies a link to your clipboard or opens your device's share menu).
The key difference: content shared through the Communication Hub gives you full tracking of who received it, who opened it, and who engaged with it. Manual sharing provides limited tracking since Bites can't know who you sent the link to.
